Enhancements

  • [SU-731] - Display Award Response Action Item on Student Dashboard at All Times
    • In order to prioritize the importance of accepting and/or writing a thank you letter for an award, the student dashboard will always display any outstanding Award Response Needed task for students, no matter what time range filter is currently being utilized. Previously when an acceptance and/or thank you deadline was out of the filter range (i.e. 5 weeks into the future), the task would not display to the student until it fell into the time range filter - students would be forced to navigate to Awards to view outstanding tasks not found on the dashboard. Now students can access outstanding award responses from either the dashboard or the Awards page at any time.
  • [SU-709] - Display Scholarship Awarding/Donor Details and Review Details Across the Site
    • The descriptions found in a scholarship's Awarding and Donor Specification fields are now being displayed across the site. On the Scholarship Candidates tab, the Scholarships Awards tab, and the Award View pages, new links called "Awarding Criteria" and "Donor Specifications" can be found above the candidate/award grid. The "Awarding Critiera" link opens a modal to show the scholarship(s) Awarding descriptions, while "Donor Specifications" will open a modal to show the scholarship(s) Donor Specifications. If a link is not found, it means all scholarships selected do not have any information in their respective field.
    • The Reviewer Instructions given while creating a Review Pool will now be displayed to Reviewers as they review applicants. Within the Recommendation/Score Card module, a link called "Reviewer's Instructions" will be displayed that opens a modal to review the scoring instructions. If a link is not found, instructions were not included for the pool round.
  • [SU-756] - Scholarship Deadline Approaching Aggregation
    • Previously the Scholarship Deadline Approaching email and SMS notifications were sent on a per scholarship basis, meaning that if multiple scholarships were approaching their deadline on the same day, a student may receive multiple emails/SMS daily for each scholarship that they began an application for. This update eliminates multiple emails/SMS messages and aggregates it only sending one email and SMS message a day for the Scholarship Deadline Approaching reminder notification.
  • [SU-707] - Student Profile Modal
    • The student profile page has been converted to a full page modal, rather than a separate page. This enhancement resolves the common feedback that exiting the student profile doesn't always navigate back to exactly where the user was before (pages, tabs, etc). When searching or clicking on a student name, the modal will now appear over the current page/tab you're on, and closing the modal will leave you back exactly where you were. All functionality remains in the modal.
  • [SU-706] - Performance Refactoring
    • A continuing enhancement to make the application smarter and faster, this release includes updates to performance when loading the Scholarship Candidates tab, Scholarship Award tab, and overall performance to the Auto-Match function, greatly reducing the amount of time to load tabs.
  • [SU-725] - Update Column Filtering for Award View, Candidates Tab, and Awards Tab
    • The candidates/awarding grids now have the ability to sort and filter List, Text, and Date type questions brought in via SmartRank or by adding custom columns. String and Date type SIS fields are also given the ability to filter and sort. Please note for List type questions, if a student has multiple answers (indicated by a modal link called "Multiple Answers"), the filtering can only apply to the FIRST VALUE found among the multiple values.

Fixes

  • [SU-744] - Thank You Letters Not Retaining Formatting
    • Fixed an issue where the body of the thank you letter was not retaining formatting such as paragraph breaks in the student's responses. Along with fixing student formatting, the thank you template body was given an update to clearly call out visible sections (optional) and visible questions/instruction fields (also optional). Sections displayed in the template will be bold. Questions will display as underlined. Student answers will remain as plain text.
    • Example:
      • A Little About the StudentĀ (section name)
      • Tell us a little bit about yourself. (question/instruction field)
      • I was born and raised... (student answer)
  • [SU-754] and [SU-755] - SMS Configurations
    • Resolved the issue were individual disabled SMS templates were still sending SMS messages when triggered. While the master SMS switch found within PlatformManagement held true and did not allow SMS messages to be sent, when the master switch was enabled the individual template setting was being ignored. The issue has been resolved and individual templates correctly control whether they are enabled/disabled.
  • [SU-737] - SIS Student Data Category Cleanup
    • Fixed the issue where an ugly error message appeared when no SIS data could be discovered for a student under an individual category. It now displays a more graceful message that SIS data cannot be found under that category for the student. The application has also removed the "Financial Aid" and "Personal" categories from the SIS field mapping, shifting information from "Financial Aid" under the more broad category "Finances", and the "Personal" information to the "Miscellaneous" category.
  • [SU-763] - Promoting Students for Awarding Causing a $0 Award Notification to Be Queued
    • Resolved an issue where promoting a student for a direct award through the Scholarship Candidates tab or Student Profile modal caused a premature award record to generate for notification. Instead, an award record with the status as "Promoted" will be generated, but not appear under the Award Notify queue. Once the student has been given an actual award amount, the record will move to "Pending" where it will then be found in the Award Notify queue.
  • [SU-743] - Student Side Filtering Not Working When Initiated on Pages Other Than the First Page
    • Fixed an issue where students using the filter and sort feature on the Scholarships page got unexpected behavior when applying a filter/sort while they were on any other grid page than the first grid page. The filter/sort now correctly applies to the scholarship grid no matter what page they are on.
  • [SU-760] - Review Pool Error
    • Fixed an issue in the Review Pool Builder page where opening the scholarship management modal received a processing timeout when the application contained several hundred scholarships. The modal now opens as expected. We will continue to enhance the performance of this feature.
  • [SU-740] - Auto-Match Allowing Editing During Process
    • Fixed an issue where opening a scholarship currently in Pending Auto-Match or Processing Auto-Match would allow a user to edit scholarship information. All scholarships fields are disabled from editing to not interfere with the Auto-Match feature.
  • [SU-764] - Custom Column Data Disappearing
    • Resolved an issue on the Candidates tab where data used by a SmartRank or custom columns added to the grid would disappear when a user Rejects/Recycles an applicant on the grid due to the grid refreshing the record. Rejecting/Recycling an applicant no longer forces SmartRank/custom column data from disappearing.
