Release Notes

This release contains enhancements to manually re-open questions to be answered again by students, the student user activity, toggle the view of potential opportunity amount, add comments to awards, a minor update to the Award Details report, and small miscellaneous fixes.

Enhancements

  • [SU-935] - Manually Re-Open Questions to Answer
    • School users can now flag a question to be re-answered by all students to confirm or update existing answers. Within the Question Builder modal (where you edit/create new questions), a new option called Re-Open Question appears for any existing question.
    • If you have a question mapped to a SIS data field and have indicated that the student cannot override the answer (SIS Lock), then this feature will not be available since the student is not able to answer the question. If the question is not mapped to a SIS data field, or the question is mapped but set to allow the student to override (Allow Student Override), then this feature is available.
    • When prompted to confirm re-opening a question, you are given the option to delete all student answers given for the question.┬áIf you select to Remove All Answers, every students' answer for that question will be removed - this will cause the question to go back into the matching algorithm for the student to re-answer. If you do not select to Remove All Answers, the question will only be flagged to re-answer, where it will become highest priority and appear as the first question the student is given when answer questions - their answers will still be retained and it will be up to the students to confirm the existing answer or give them a chance to update the answer.

  • [SU-905] - Student User Activity in Profile
    • The Student Profile has been updated to now include user activity to track different events across the students' journey. The Communications tab in the Student Profile has been updated to "Activity". The Activity tab is broken down into three main categories:
      • User Activity(new): contains the date and time of certain events on the students account, including:
        • Thank You Submitted
        • Thank You Approved
        • Thank You Rejected
        • Thank You Cancelled
        • Thank You Waived
        • Accepted Award Offer
        • Declined Award Offer
        • Award Acceptance Waived
        • Application Started
        • Application Submitted
        • Application Removed
        • Letter of Recommendation Requested
        • Letter of Recommendation Rejected
        • Letter of Recommendation Completed
        • Award Offered
        • Award Posted
        • Award Adjusted
        • Award Cancelled
        • Award Removed
      • Communications (existing): contains the date and time of communications sent out to the student, with the ability to view the copy sent
      • Login (new): view the date and time of each student login, along with the IP address of the login

  • [SU-966] - Ability to Toggle the Display of the Potential Opportunity Amounts
    • Schools now have the option to manage the display of the potential opportunity amounts viewed across the student side in these three areas:
      • When answering questions, this tile appears on the top right next to the total matched scholarships tile
      • When finishing answering questions - a message displays the total count of matches and potential opportunity amount
      • The student dashboard shows these amounts in the status filter funnel
    • In Settings > Basic, there is a new option called "Display Opportunity" that is on by default. If disabled, the opportunity amounts displayed on the student side will be hidden from all students.
  • [SU-931] - Award Comments Needed
    • Comments can now be associated to awards at a term level. Within the Award Applicant modal, when distributing an award to a student you can optionally set comments for every term associated to the scholarship. If a user overrides the award amount, the comments can be adjusted as well.
    • Comments can be viewed in the Search Awards screen and generate a link to view all the comments for an award in a modal. The same function is found in the Ready to Post and Post Batches grids. The Batch and Download function to post awards also includes the Comments column in the export. Comments, along with the Award Status, can also be included in the API callback when passing award through CL Connect.
    • The Scholarship Awards import can also include the optional Comments column to pass in comments for the award records found in the file.

  • [SU-926] - Award Details Report Enhancement
    • The column Fund Code has been added to the report to display the main Fund Code associated to each award record.

Fixes

  • [SU-986] - Add Reviewer Tile Removed
    • The Add Reviewer tile found on the Review page has been removed. While the tile was meant for non-Platform Admin roles to be able to create new users with the intention of being defaulted in the Reviewer role, that functionality is currently not available. The tile itself was navigating to a blank page in PlatformManagement, and for non-Platform Admin roles it was generating an error. Until the tile has the ability to serve its planned purpose, it has been removed from the page.
  • [SU-984] - Scholarship Award Import Error With Duplicate Student IDs
    • Resolved an issue where multiple award records for different students with the same Student ID failed the entire file. This issue occurred with bad setup test data in a sandbox environment and is not expected to occur within the production environment, but instead is a precaution. If the case were to arise, only the records with the same Student ID for multiple students would error individually with a message specifically calling out the reason.
  • [SU-940] - Manage Scholarship Modal Issues
    • Fixed a couple of issues found within the Manage Scholarship modal when selecting scholarships to award in Award View.
      • Fixed an issue where the count for Number of Applicants was basing off of the original count of all applicants found with the first round of reviews. This has been corrected to display the count of applicants from the final round of reviews. The roster in Award View was always showing the correct amount of students.
      • Fixed an issue using Select All while viewing a filtered down list of scholarships was still selecting all scholarships even outside of the filtered list. This has been corrected to only select the filtered scholarships.
