Introduction

The dashboard is the landing point for institutional users logging into StudentAdvisor. This page is used to give high level insights as to what is currently happening and action needed. Each role will have access to the page, but different tiles and insights are available based on the user's role permissions.

Dashboard Data

The dashboard page hosts a variety of tiles, most that are call to actions and can navigate users to the area in need. Depending on a user's role, some tiles may not be visible. The insight displays a trend of the count of VirtualAdvisor counts by day. For users who have access to the Training Workflow page, they may see an additional alert displaying the number of training items needing to be reviewed. At any time a user can customize which available tiles and insights they would like to display/hide.

Please note that under the Dashboard page title, an indicator will display the last time all of the data on the screen was updated. A user may manually refresh the data by clicking the Refresh icon - this can only be done once a minute.

The Dashboard contains the following tiles:

  • Live Conversations: a count of live conversations between a student/anonymous user and VirtualAdvisor or an institutional advisor
    • This tile is available to Admin and Advisor roles, and when clicked on will navigate to the Advising > Live Conversations tab.
  • Feedback/Need Training: a count of training workflow items unassigned and unresolved. This is a combination of items in both the No Response Provided and Low Confidence queues.
    • This tile is available to Admin and Content Managers, and when clicked on will navigate to VirtualAdvisor > Training Workflow > No Response Provided tab.
  • New/Updated Global Content: a count of additional or edited global content from the last 30 days. This is global content managed by CampusLogic and is alerted here so that institutions may review the updates and determine if they wish to override any content.
    • This tile is available to Admin, Content Managers and Content Publishers, and when click on will navigate to VirtualAdvisor > Override Global Content.
  • Available Advisors: a count of Admin/Advisor users who have made themselves available for chatting with students/anonymous users.
    • This tile is available to Admin and Advisor roles, and when clicked on will navigate to the Advising > Live Conversations tab.
  • Students in Queue: a count of students/anonymous users who are in queue to speak to an advisor.
    • This tile is available to Admin and Advisor roles, and when clicked on will navigate to the Advising > Awaiting Advisor tab.

The Dashboard contains the following insight:

  • Total Conversation Volume: a trend of the total conversation volume. This is defaulted to display the last 30 days, grouped by weeks. Users can change the date range by the last 30 days, 60 days, 3 months, and 6 months; they can also change the view by days, weeks, and months. By hovering over each pinpoint on the chart the exact count will appear.
    • This insight is available to Admin and Advisor roles.

The Dashboard contains the following notification:

  • Outstanding Training Workflow Records: If at least one training workflow is found that is unassigned and unresolved this notification will appear above the Total Conversation Volume insight. This notification will display a count of No Response Provided records and a count of Low Confidence records. If both queues are clear, this notification will be hidden.
    • This notification is available to Admin and Content Managers, and when clicked on will navigate to VirtualAdvisor > Training Workflow > No Response Provided tab.

Managing Dashboard Display

At any time a user may manage the display of tiles and insight. Tiles may be reordered as well.

  • Click on the Cog Icon to manage the display of dashboard items.

The Edit Dashboard modal allows users to view the tiles and insight they have permission to. Users can disable a tile or insight, or they can even reorder tiles by dragging and dropping them to change the order.
