The following overview covers basic settings and configurations to manage your VirtualAdvisor. After completing this over see [insert training overview] for reviewing and creating content in your VirtualAdvisor.

Step 1:  Configure and personalize VirtualAdvisor interactions:

Brand and name your VirtualAdvisor, activate in other CL Products, personalization default responses and configure VA for use on your school's website.

Step 2:  Define content categories and assign category permissions

Categories are used to manage access to content in the VirtualAdvisor by content developers and to escalate and route students to the human advisor with the right knowledge and skills.

Step 3:  Define institution values VirtualAdvisor can use in conversation responses.

Institutional fields can be used in content development to dynamically personalize responses from the VirtualAdvisor.

Step 4: Create and assign advisor types for tracking student-advisor relationships

Advisor assignments are used to define advisor to student relationships and types. These relationships are used to determine which students an advisor can send outreach messages.
