Enhancements

  • [SV-3821] - Electronically Sign Uploaded Student Tax Documents
    • To help reduce the rejected document rate for tax documentation, schools now have the ability to require students to apply an electronic signature to tax documentation uploaded into StudentForms. If enabled by an institute, as students are uploading copies of their Federal IRS Tax Return Transcript or Signed Federal IRS Form 1040 they will be required to e-sign an appended page when they are done uploading their documents. The appended page will be attached at the end with the following statement:
      • By signing below, I agree, authorize and acknowledge submission of (Document Name) to (School) on my behalf for purposes of processing financial aid at (School) financial aid verification. I represent to (School) that I have signed (Document Name) and it is complete and accurate in all respects.

  • This can be managed in Admin Settings > Documents using the new switch "Allow Upload Document Signature". If enabled, an e-signature is required - this is not optional for the student. Currently since parents can only e-sign web forms, this is only applied to the following document types:
    • Student and Spouse 2018 Federal IRS Tax Return Transcript
    • Student's 2018 Federal IRS Tax Return Transcript
    • Student and Spouse 2019 Federal IRS Tax Return Transcript
    • Student's 2019 Federal IRS Tax Return Transcript
    • Student and Spouse 2020 Federal IRS Tax Return Transcript
    • Student's 2020 Federal IRS Tax Return Transcript
    • Student and Spouse 2018 Signed Federal IRS Form 1040
    • Student's 2018 Signed Federal IRS Form 1040
    • Student and Spouse 2019 Signed Federal IRS Form 1040
    • Student's 2019 Signed Federal IRS Form 1040
    • Student and Spouse 2020 Signed Federal IRS Form 1040
    • Student's 2020 Signed Federal IRS Form 1040
  • [SV-3892] - Validation to Prevent More Than One Open PJ Appeal At a Time
    • Additional logic has been added around the PJ appeal creation to prevent more than one active Professional Judgement type from being opened at the same time. Often times institutes will accidentally create a duplicate PJ appeal for a student after one has already been opened, either by the student request or by another school user. This prevents multiple active appeals from being opened, causing confusion with file reviews and subsequent ISIRs knowing which tracking group to review against. PJ Dependency Override appeals and PJ EFC appeals are not restricted by one another - this prevents more than one active PJ Dependency Override appeal at a time and more than one active PJ EFC appeal at a time. Once an active PJ appeal is either rescinded, denied, or approved and has been pushed to Verified status, a subsequent appeal can be opened. This also prevents Admin Override from re-opening an appeal transaction if another one is currently active.
  • [SV-3891] - FAFSA Assumption Indicator in File Review
    • Smart File Review and Full File Review will now show indication if the system is reviewing an assumed ISIR value by displaying "(Assumed)" after the value. Previously even though the system has been going off any assumed values found, users had no indication whether the values seen in file review were student reported or assumed values.

  • Also fixed an issue where the file review indicator for unexpected values has disappeared. If a subsequent ISIR reopens a transaction for school review, the unexpected value icon is correctly appearing for the unexpected value(s).
  • [SV-3895] - Pended Documents/Transactions Display In Account Activity
    • Pended documents and transactions will now appear in a student's account activity. Similar to documents that are rejected, a new record will be added for those that are pended. Also similar to transaction outcomes, pended transactions will be added to the account activity. While school users can see which user pended a document/transaction, students will continue to see these actions made by "School User".
  • [SV-3890] - Federal/DREAM Student Filter on Workflow Pages
    • For schools utilizing the DREAM Application support in StudentForms, a new filter called "Student Type" is located across the workflow pages to allow filtering by Federal ISIR, DREAM Application, or all students. Similar to the Award Year filter, this persists across pages and can be found in all workflow pages except the Document Retrieval.
