Release Notes

This release includes New Aid Year Reminder settings, updates to the Verification File Review Workflow grid, verified student creation record, and a couple of bug fixes.

Enhancements

  • [SV-4586] - New Aid Year Reminder Settings
    • The New Aid Year Reminder is a special communication template that institutions can utilize that will send out a notification to a student when a new award year's ISIR has come in and contains student actionable tasks that need to be completed. Under normal circumstances, because the new award year's verification transaction won't be opened until the student logs in or the institution manually opens it, the basic reminder notification won't pick up these actions needing to be completed. This communication supplements the normal outstanding actions reminder.
    • Due to federal regulations around waiving verification, selective service, and drug eligibility requirements, some institutions choose to continue to verify a combination of these items while others may waive them. These settings found in the Basic Settings page allow an institution to control whether these comment codes should be included or excluded from the list of actions to trigger this communication.

      • Verification: controls whether or not comment codes 170 or 171 can trigger the communication
      • Selective Service: controls whether or not comment codes 030, 033, or 057 can trigger the communication
      • Drug Eligibility: controls whether or not comment codes 053, 054, 056, or 058 can trigger the communication
    • Examples

      • If the student has comment code 171 only and the Verification switch is enabled - will trigger notification to student
      • If the student has comment code 171 only and the Verification switch is disabled - will not trigger notification to student
      • If the student has comment codes 132 and 171 and the Verification switch is enabled - will trigger notification to student
      • If the student has comment codes 132 and 171 and the Verification switch is disabled - will trigger notification to student (because comment code 132 would still trigger the notification)
  • [SV-4580] - Verification File Review Workflow Grid Enhancements
    • The Verification File Review Workflow grid has the "V Group" and "Comment Codes" columns added back into the grid. These were originally removed to optimize space on the grid due to the number of columns found. While the two columns did populate the data when exporting the grid, there was a lot of feedback to have these columns return on the grid, as well. The Verification File Review Workflow, along with all the other workflow grids, now gives users the ability to adjust the width of each column when viewing the grid as well. Please note that width adjustments do not save.
  • [SV-4068] - Add Account Activity Record When Creating a Verified Student
    • Added a new Account Activity record type that will be generated if a school user creates a verified student record using an ISIR loaded into StudentForms. The record will appear under in the student profile Activity tab, within the User Account category as "Verified student created with ID {{ ID inputted }}".

Fixes

  • [SV-4613] - Display Historical Rejected Comments
    • Resolved an issue where the ability to review historical rejected comments was removed. During the last optimization of the document review grid this icon was removed, but has been restored. Now users can review the view only version of rejected comments for prior submissions of a document.
  • [SV-4609] - IP Reporting Issues
    • Fixed a couple of issues within the IP Reporting page.
      • Fixed an issue where the More Info modal on a user was displaying the student's name in every row, rather than the IP Address, as intended. IP Address is now correctly showing for each successful login.
      • Resolved an issue where the IP Address seen in the student profile Activity tab was not matching the IP shown on this page. Due to a recent update to utilizing Microsoft's Azure Front Door service the profile account activity was pulling an address used by the service rather than the student's actual IP address. While this fix resolves the issue going forward, we are unable to reconcile the prior front door IP addresses seen on the profile Activity tab.
